EPI Manager: NF S72-701 inspections, outings, labels

This new version brings together several weeks of work. Here’s what’s changing.

🔍 Inspections aligned with the NF S72-701 standard

Each type of equipment now has its own inspection criteria (crampon points, bolt-anchor teeth, carabiner gate locking…), instead of generic criteria. What falls under the standard is now separated from what falls under good practice.
New “Not applicable” status: it is remembered after a first inspection of the equipment and automatically suggested at the next inspection.
The in-depth inspection includes all the criteria of the routine inspection, as required by the standard (§4.2).
Equipment that is out on an outing cannot be inspected until it has returned.

The lifespan can be adjusted for each piece of equipment. After creation, it can only be reduced, and every change is recorded in the history.
The end of life is calculated the same way everywhere: on December 31 of the year of manufacture + the lifespan. This applies to records, the PDF life record and the spreadsheet export.

When an assembly goes out on an outing, each piece of equipment it contains is recorded. The composition at the time of departure can therefore still be viewed.
New outing history on equipment and assembly pages, with completely redesigned detail pages.
Assemblies without a photo display a mosaic of the photos of their equipment.
The person in charge of an outing can be called or e-mailed in one click.

Tags: create, edit, delete, and a dedicated page listing the tagged equipment.
Card or list view for equipment, assemblies, outings and references.
Date format of your choice in the settings.
The equipment model photo follows the color and size of your equipment.
Expanded catalog: Climbing Technology added 🎉
Ropes: you can enter the length even when the catalog does not offer it, and rope cutting is more reliable.

Each new organization receives sample data to discover the tool. You can delete it, and it does not count towards the equipment limit.
If you log in before activating your account, a clear message is displayed and you can resend the activation link. This link is now valid for 24 hours.

Organization verification now covers Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Austria, Italy and the United Kingdom. When automatic verification is not possible, you can upload a supporting document. The verification status is displayed on your organization.
Club code: a new code is created every September 1, and the previous one remains valid until September 30. It can be used for each subscription.
A referral code can only be used once per person.
Electronic signature of life records is reserved for paid Pro and Club plans. Teamwork becomes available to Pro subscribers.
Individuals have a 14-day right of withdrawal.

The files you upload (photos, supporting documents) are secured.
When you switch organizations, the data of the previous one is replaced.
Updates to the installed app (PWA) are more reliable, and PDF display has been fixed.
Form error messages are clearer, and the mobile display has been improved in many places.
